The Innovation Partnership

Early stage technology companies can secure federal and other funding opportunities through the Innovation Partnership (IPart), a consortium of economic development and business assistance organizations located throughout Pennsylvania. IPart is focused on biotechnology, nanotechnology, advanced manufacturing and communications technology businesses that show early signs of commercial success. Through IPart’s funding committee, a business may be awarded a microgrant in an amount up to $3,000 specifically for use related to their final proposal preparation.

Online Project Critique

The core of IPart’s initiative is the Proposal Preparation Assistance Program (PPAP). The PPAP is an on-line review that offers high quality critiques of a proposed project and its commercialization potential, with comprehensive written feedback provided by three independent Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) reviewers selected from a national talent pool of professionals with industry, technology, and/or business specific backgrounds and skill sets.
